Hifab Services are looking for a welder/fabricator to join our team.
- Permanent role
- Site & Workshop
- Sydney Metro based (Location: project dependent)
- Monday to Saturday
- Hifab Services Workshop is based in South Windsor
- Site work: Work environment various from residential, commercial infrastructure & manufacturing.
- Welding Operations: Perform MIG and Stick welding operations according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Fabrication: Fabricate metal components and structures using welding equipment and hand tools.
- Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure functionality and longevity.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and departments to complete projects efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
- Problem-solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to welding processes and equipment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of solutions.
Essential Requirements For This Opportunity Are
- Trade qualification: Cert III or IV Engineering Fabrication Plus 2
- Experience: plus 2 years relevant experience or 3 years relevant experience in substitute to the qualification
- Welding Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in MIG and Stick welding techniques.
- Fabrication Skills: Experience in fabricating metal components and structures.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints.
- Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to workplace safety practices and protocols.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of finished welds.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Problem-solving Skills: Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to welding processes and equipment.
- Time Management: Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines and production schedules.
- Communication Skills: Clear communication skills to collaborate with team members and report any issues or concerns.
- Physical Fitness: Good physical condition and stamina to perform welding and fabrication tasks for extended periods.
