About the role


This role is located in the iconic Pilbara region, which is home to some of the world’s most epic national parks, hundreds of islands with dazzling white beaches and untouched coral gardens and unique communities of the rugged outback. Why we need you


The Delivery Manager is a critical leadership role within the Pilbara Region team, assisting to manage a skilled team to oversee the development and delivery of road and bridge construction projects in accordance with the Delivery Plan including Public Tendered Works (PTW’s) Direct Managed Works (DMW’s), Minor Capital Works (MCW’s) and Maintenance Works in this challenging, but extremely rewarding work environment.


You will undertake consultation, liaison and negotiation with stakeholders (e.g. customers, the community, other agencies, and Local Government, contractors and consultants) on the development and delivery of projects and contracts.


The Main Roads office in the Pilbara Region has a strong commercial focus and is often called upon to undertake works for external parties under commercial conditions.


To be successful you will:



  • Be a dynamic and experienced civil construction professional.
  • Be solutions focused.
  • Have applied your strong technical capability over several years of practical industry experience, built on the foundation of your tertiary Civil Engineering qualification.
  • Have experience managing a team of engineers with varying degrees of experience and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to develop positive, professional relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
