Becoming a Family Day Care Educator is a big decision. As an accredited and experienced service provider, we ensure you have ticked all the boxes to set up and run your Family Day Care business smoothly.

  • We make sure you are kept up to date on all relevant Family Day Care regulations and legislation.
  • We manage all payments from your families leaving you to do what’s important – build relationships with families and nurture children in your care.
  • We make sure you are paid on time.
  • We provide access to support and training as needed.
  • Once you submit your application, we are with you every step of the way.

Now, let’s talk about this exciting opportunity!
As a Windermere Family Day Care Educator, you will be provide high quality education and care in your own home. With a maximum of up to seven children in your care at any time, with up to four being below school age, you will have the opportunity to create meaningful connections with a small group. (This includes any of the Educator’s own children aged under 12 years.)

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum qualification of Certificate III in Children Services
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis prior to opening your service
  • Previous experience working with children from birth to 12 years
  • Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible
  • Current Victorian Drivers’ Licence
  • Over 18 years
  • Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks
  • Right to Work in Australia e.g. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Visa holder with full working rights
