The Company:
Our client is a multi-service public practice accounting firm who provide highly professional, dynamic accounting and consulting services including business and taxation services, lending and financial planning to a broad client base.
The Opportunity
To support their continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced, client focused Senior Tax Manager to add additional experience and value to their team.
Your role will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients with assistance from other accountants within the team
- Providing consulting & advisory services to the existing client base. As well as growing the client portfolio
- Review of tax returns & financial reports prepared by staff
- Providing staff with feedback on areas of improvement etc
- Taxation consulting and compliance
- Business services consulting
- Monthly & quarterly reporting
- Business formation and structures, including financial and taxation advice on the businesses structure, plans and operations
- Advise on matters including the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers & acquisitions, capital financing, and taxation matters
- Examine and advise on clients’ operating costs, income and expenditure
About You
They are looking find an individual who shares their passion for achieving the best financial outcomes for their clients, motivated to make a difference and enthusiastic to contribute to a collaborative team.
- Degree qualified
- Completed CA/CPA (or currently completing);
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a public practice;
- Experience with the ATO Tax Agent Portal;
- Outstanding verbal communications skills;
- Excellent written business communication and reporting skills;
- Demonstrated experience, ability and willingness to build and maintain strong working relationships – both externally and internally;
- Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, in particular Excel;
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills;
- High level of attention to detail.
