We are looking to hire an experienced Support Coordinator to join our growing team of professionals in our headquarters in the Western suburbs (Yennora).

About The Role

Our Support Coordinator will assist people with a disability to build the capacity to achieve their NDIS goals. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Members are supported by a Support Coordinator as they activate, interpret, and put their NDIS Plans into practice. As a support coordinator, your responsibilities will include organizing service agreements, coordinating service providers and supports, communicating with government organizations, obtaining service quotations, and monitoring participants' plans. For each Participant that you support, you will submit Support Coordination reports to the NDIA.

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess the following:

  • Extensive experience in a coordination or management role within the aged care and/or disability sector
  • Willingness to affirm CMG’s vision, mission, and values enthusiastically
  • Ability to engage and inspire a passionate team through clear decision-making and the provision of a supportive and collaborative leadership style
  • Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised as well as an effective team player with a positive can-do attitude
  • Relate well to a range of people with sound listening and problem-solving skills
  • Be a confident professional with strong initiative and business acumen
  • displaying emotional maturity and resilience
  • Be solutions-focused with the the ability to identify issues and propose solutions in a timely manner

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in Community services
  • 2-3 years experience in this field
  • Significant and proven experience and a record of achievement in managing the delivery of Health and Human Services
  • Experience and a record of achievement in managing the delivery of supported independent living services to people living with a disability
  • Demonstrated effective people leadership including the management of workplace culture, performance matters, complaints, and concerns
  • Advanced knowledge of the disability industry, relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and industry trends, in particular SIL and community service provision
  • The ability to engage stakeholders in developing and maintaining strong working relationships and gaining their participation around key decisions and initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience to service budget management with a knowledge of financial principles and their applications
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to negotiate complex matters and resolve conflict
  • Experience at the operational management level with full financial responsibility and operational reporting
  • Excellent written and oral skills, public speaking and presentation capabilities
  • Current NSW unrestricted driver's licence
