Our client is involved in the development and delivery of cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions in agriculture. Their team of highly experienced and respected experts have made spectacular progress in developing novel methods to reduce methane production from livestock.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Following a rigorous research and development program, field testing and IP development, the company is now seeking a visionary CEO with a strong background in commercialisation and financial acumen to lead the next phase of success, transitioning from R&D stages through to successful commercialisation and scale-up. The CEO will report to The Board and will play a critical role in establishing the corporate strategy, driving commercialisation and creating a strong market presence. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to address some of the most pressing challenges in sustainable agriculture and make a positive impact on global food production and the environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a strategy for commercialisation, by way of an initial launch in Australia with the view for future international expansion;
  • Establish financial plans and budgets to support scale-up, market entry and growth;
  • Plan and deliver on future capital requirements;
  • Build an expert team with required skills and foster a positive culture of innovation and collaboration;
  • Position the business as a trailblazer and leader within its market segment;
  • Ensuring talent density and performance, while continuing to foster a positive culture of innovation and collaboration across a leading expert team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated leadership as a dynamic, innovative executive within the livestock sector or closely related fields;
  • A deep understanding of commercialisation, specifically with experience working within or adjacent to the livestock industry;
  • Advanced business and financial acumen, evidenced by a consistent track record of driving significant revenue growth and financial sustainability;
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, coupled with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective team and stakeholder engagement;
  • Extensive experience in securing investor funding and navigating other corporate financing avenues, with a keen focus on startup growth and capital investment strategies;
  • A well-established network within the livestock industry and direct experience in marketing and developing business opportunities by facilitating partnerships and collaborations;
  • An appetite for success through informed risk-taking will be highly advantageous.

LOCATION

Flexible. Orange NSW (preferred) or Brisbane QLD.

REMUNERATION

A highly attractive salary package commensurate with the seniority of this position will be offered to the successful candidate.
