Our Client
Our client is an established and rapidly growing business operating within the property sector, with strong links to the community throughout Queensland. With the head office in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley, where all of the corporate support functions are based, our client is a close and caring team, who work hard, but maintain work life balance.
Role purpose
This role is an initial six month contract, with potential to transition to permanency if performance and skillset is aligned. The ideal candidate will be able to work 38 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
This newly created position will play a critical role in supporting the wider finance team, of about 15 people, with overflow from transactional finance and accountants. Initial key responsibilities include;
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting accounts payable, including processing of invoices, statement reconciliations and weekly payment processing;
- Supporting accounts receivable and managing debtor relationships;
- Managing employee credit card admin and monthly reconciliations; and
- Solely managing high volume bank reconciliations.
Key Requirements:
- 12 months demonstrated experience in an invoicing or accounts based environment;
- Ability to work in a high volume and busy environment;
- Excellent data entry skills including speed and accuracy;
- Excellent numeracy skills and an eye for detail;
- Strong communication (both written and verbal);
- Intermediate excel skills and ability to pick up new accounting software; and
- Eagerness to learn from those around you and grow within the organisation.
