Leading state government department has an immediate need for a highly skilled and experienced Technical BA join them on an initial 12-month contract with likely extensions. You will be joining a newly created team on a greenfield national project.
As a Technical Business Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of driving innovation and efficiency. Your keen analytical skills will be put to the test as you collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. From streamlining data management systems to optimising resource allocation processes, your insights will directly impact our ability to serve and protect the community.
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Conduct analysis of business requirements and evolve those requirements for technical design and implementation of solution components;
- Apply governance processes to ensure the quality assurance of technical products delivered by suppliers;
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications incorporating analysis of maintainability, scalability, security, supportability, usability and other nonfunctional requirements;
- Define key test scenarios and carry out verification testing to ensure the solution is complete and meets agreed business requirements;
- Provide support to builders and testers to ensure the required solution outcomes are achieved, including assistance with documentation and testing of defect fixes and changes; and
- Provide advice on database, desktop, infrastructure (server and operating system), infrastructure (virtualisation and storage), mobility, software and telecommunication solutions, products and services to internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable skills:
- Use of fit-for-purpose tools to record and manage requirements for the documentation and management of quality assurance;
- System analysis activities on complex Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products;
- Knowledge of Agile delivery;
- Awareness of ITIL framework or similar process methodologies;
- Awareness of PRINCE2 and similar project management methodologies; and
- A degree level qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science.
