Backed by a global leader who have invested signficantly in growth and people, the ANZ business has gone from strength to strength and is now looking for a new Head of Sales in NZ (effectively a Country Manager) to lead the continued success of the business through inspirational, commercial leadership focused on the customer. The Role

Reporting to the Australian Sales Director and part of the ANZ leadership team, this business critical role will be leading a diverse team of nearly 90 staff across 2 main channels - retail and trade with revenues circa $45M across both. The role will be tasked with building on the close strategic partnership with the single biggest retail customer and indentifying any underlying issues in the trade channel, removing barriers to success, building on the high-performance / can-do culture and creating momentum in revenue and volume growth, CX and improving market share. The role will hold P&L for NZ and have a focus on sales & marketing but collaborate with and leverage strong internal relationships cross-functionally including supply chain & distribution, marketing & digital, executive & HR, manufacturing & R&D - all of whom are invested in the success of the NZ business.

The Person

You will be a strong commercial leader with a proven track record in consumer products, ideally hardware or related residential / DIY categories that have both consumer and trade channels or applications. The role will require a balance of strategic thinking and capability (including analytical nous & the proven ability to execute effectively) along with strong interpersonal and hands-on leadership style. You'll be an inclusive leader who's passionate about people, culture and customer. You'll have highly developed commercial skills, a track record leading growth across both revenue & market share and strong relationships with large, national hardware retailers at a top to top level. Non-negotiable is an absolute focus on the customer and your people who you will put first.
