Description:
We are currently seekinga superstar who can work with our client on Christmas Island as an Asset Supervisor on a 6-months contract with possibility of extension.
Duties will include but are not limited to :
- Provide effective leadership for three (3) direct reports.
- Lead the day-to-day Facility Maintenance (FM) operations across the facility.
- Provide effective cost management, drive cost control, identification of effective cost savings and assess any financial arrangements proposed.
- Understand the relevant security and operational issues to establish and facilitate day-to-day operational requirements to meet the contract requirements.
- Ensure that FM activities are delivered by legislative requirements, contract obligations, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards, and any other specific requirements for the client.
- Monitor the progress of accreditation and quality management activities / projects and coordinate the standardisation of policies and procedures for the facility.
- Monitor procedures, processes and policies identifying improvements where appropriate in the delivery of all site services.
- Monitor, review and where appropriate, update property, plant, and equipment to meet the changing needs of the facility.
- Supervise and direct the FM operation requirements of the facility following relevant policies and procedures and in compliance with contract requirements and or any relevant legislation.
- Supervise the day-to-day FM operations to meet all regulatory, facility, and contract standards.
- Supervision of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Conduct internal audits of the statements of work on an ongoing basis, ensuring strict compliance with the contract and all facilities management operating principles and procedures.
- Contribute to the planning of essential services such as supply chain, maintenance, waste disposal and recycling, and internal reporting.
- Provide advice and assist to provide solutions with :
- Activities, developments, and changes within the services are appropriately covered under the statement of works, and their impact upon the provision of those services for the facility.
- Development and implementation of management initiatives.
- Support the management reporting system and processes to ensure all issues raised are addressed within an appropriate timeframe to ensure the safe and effective operation of the facility.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
Experience and Qualifications required :
- A trade qualification / s and or relevant experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing or other relevant trade-associated disciplines.
- Tertiary Qualifications or relevant experience in asset management, maintenance management, facilities management, business management, property management, engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
- Sound background in management with proven planning, leadership, and scheduling skills.
- Driver’s licence
- Medium to a high-level understanding of MS Excel and or computerised maintenance programs.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
