The Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity for Lead Planner with extensive P6 experience who is interested in joining a locally owned leading construction and maintenance business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing planning activities, mentoring junior planners, and ensuring project schedules are effectively managed.

The Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in planning roles within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar planning software.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and their application to planning activities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning function, ensuring that project schedules are developed, monitored, and updated as necessary.
- Mentor and train junior planners in planning software, methodologies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to communicate project requirements and assist in workload distribution.
- Create baseline schedules using Primavera P6 for SMP/E&I and civil works projects, with a focus on brownfields work.
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines to review deliverables and ensure alignment with project schedules.
- Manage construction activities to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Oversee procurement processes related to planning activities.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to address any scheduling concerns and ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations throughout the planning process.
