Job Description

We are looking for someone who will represent our friendly and professional 5 star service philosophy. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this person will have excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills leading by example and a strong maintenance background. A proactive attitude that translates to a high performance mind set and outstanding attention to detail will also be brought by the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Maintenance Manager with the day to day leadership and supervision of the villas team, in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor – Strata.
  • Assist with the protection and maintenance of villa owner investment.
  • Leading the team to plan and carry out preventative maintenance and general repairs throughout the hotel to ensure standards are maintained for guest comfort.
  • Responsible for the day to day running of the maintenance office.
  • Oversee the allocation of villa tasks and necessary follow-up to ensure task completion
  • Liaise closely with front desk and housekeeping regarding ‘down’ rooms to expedite a quick turn around and return to inventory.
  • Operational control of computerised maintenance programs (HotSoS) ensuring Work Orders associated with the villas are attended to in the prescribed time frame.
  • Obtaining quotes for repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Liaise with the Maintenance Manager regarding use of contractors within the hotel, ensuring work is to the standard required by the company and manufacturer specifications.
  • Liaising closely with other departments to ensure minimal impact of repairs and maintenance on operations.
  • Researching, recommending and liaising with the Maintenance Manager regarding procedures to improve the overall efficiency of the department.
  • Prioritise and carry out maintenance as requested to ensure the smooth running of all hotels departments.
  • Comply with established departmental environmental standards and assist with development of improved methods and standards for the Resort overall.
  • Maintain records of repair work and daily checks as required by local council, Government and Manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensure all staff are competent in the safe and effective use of equipment and chemicals in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Providing regular maintenance of all Resort vehicles and mechanical equipment.
  • Carry out preventive and life-cycle maintenance throughout the resort to ensure 5 star standards are maintained for guest experience.
