Your new role

This State Government department are seeking an ICT Change Manager to lead the charge in implementing their System Modernisation and Business Transformation Program. This pivotal 6-month contract role involves strategising, managing, and executing change initiatives that will revolutionise their service delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in change management with a certification such as PROSCI, Kotter, or ADKAR.

  • Leadership skills to mentor a team and manage change activities, ensuring the adoption of new processes and technologies.

  • Analytical abilities to assess program impacts, develop communication plans, and mitigate risks.

  • Collaborative spirit to work with project managers and stakeholders, fostering positive change and driving program success.

  • Extensive experience in leading the strategic planning, management and execution of change programs in large and complex environments.

  • Extensive experience in implementing changes to business processes, technologies and systems.

  • Exceptional skills to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively both verbally and in writing with people at all levels, including a proven ability to consult, liaise and influence, and engage stakeholders at all levels in an organisation.

  • Extensive experience in developing, interpreting and advising on change strategies and providing succinct reports and briefings to senior executives in the Department.

  • Extensive experience in leading people through change to deliver timely, innovative, and efficient services.

  • Experience in organisational change is required to effectively coordinate the implementation of change management plans, including risk assessment, evaluation and training strategies.

  • Ability to think strategically and conceptually, translate, and resolve complex business problems, at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Proven expertise in the use of effective change management methodologies and processes, including ADKAR, Prosci’s Model, Kotter's 8-Step Change Model, or Lewin's Change Management Model and other methods, with appropriate adherence to required governance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of resistance and develop creative strategies to overcome barriers to change.

  • Superior interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in forging successful collaborations and building effective working relationships, networks, and partnerships.

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, navigate through uncertainty, and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.

  • Extensive experience in leading people through change to deliver timely, innovative, and efficient services.
