- $950 to $1,150/day - Varied AWS and Azure cloud migration projects
About the role
Our client, a large Government Agency, has embarked on a Cloud migration journey and is looking for Senior DevOps Engineers to join their Cloud DevOps Engineering team.
This is a large and exciting program of work which includes Cloud migration (mostly to AWS) and Application optimization projects. Opportunity to work on latest techs and mentor more junior DevOps Engineers in that team.
Long term contract of 1-2 years, potentially 3 years - Projects will kick off in the new financial year ( from July 2024 ).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN
- Strong knowledge across AWS Cloud environments
- Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines and building cloud infrastructure, including knowledge with multi/cross account deployments
- Sound knowledge of Systems (Linux & Windows) and Networking technologies
- Strong Python, PowerShell and/or Bash scripting skills
- Proficient in CICD tools and technologies including Octopus, Puppet, Git, or Azure DevOps
- Strong experience working with Kubernetes, Containers and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, CloudFormation & ARM templates)
- Analyze trends in system performance, cost, capacity and reliability
- Ability to contribute and lead IT projects and work collaboratively with other IT teams to implement new cloud technologies
- Ability to guide and mentor more junior team members.
- Relevant Industry certifications highly regarded (AWS, ITIL, DevOps)
