Job Description Due to growth, we are currently seekinga FIFO SMP Project Engineer on a 3 / 1 roster on 11 hour days, point of hire is Perth.
TheProject Engineer will have the opportunity to work with Senior Project Managers and their teams, participate in major project work with hands on access to the fabrication workshop as well as have the opportunity to work on various site-based projects.
Developing skills and experience across a broad range of functions in your relevant study area and workingwith highly proficient and experienced mentors in a multi-disciplinary environment.
The role responsibilities include : Review drawings and specifications and execute the scope of work in accordance with these.
Prepare MTO's and RFQ packs for material procurement and subcontractor engagement. Review and understand project budgets and schedules and prepare TBE's for material and subcontract packages for approval.
Deliverengineering administrative and technical support to project teams tofacilitate effective delivery of projects. Scheduling of procurement and fabrication to meet project schedules Preparation of ITP's, ITR's and Work Packs.
Develop progress tracking spreadsheets and provide updates and report on project progress. Liaise with client representatives on project commitments and assist resolving technical queries.
Lead projects from award through to close out. Complete detailed methodologies and schedules. Evaluate pricing, quotes, and estimates from subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare and maintain project documentation and deliverables. Lead the project team and provide engineering technical support.
Oversee project deliverables for site execution including workpacks, QAQC documentation, execution methodologies and schedules.
Coordinating procurement of materials relevant to the scope in line with budgets. Requesting quotes from and managing sub-contractors relevant to the project.
Maintain, track and report on project progress and performance. Liaise closely with clients, and all other project staff.
Ensure compliance with client QAQC requirements, as well as Company policies, plans and procedures. Work in accordance with the Company's Core Values.
Qualifications Have a Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or Structural Engineering Degree with around 5 years' experience. Experience in a Workshop Fabrication environment and knowledge of welding procedures is an advantage.
Be motivated and be a "team player". Have a creative problem-solving approach and be a critical thinker. Possess excellent written & oral communication skills.
Experience from tendering through to project execution. Willingness to travel on an ad hoc basis and be eligible to access client sites.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal employees.
