The Role:

Due to exciting growth and development across the business, we are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Residential team in QLD North. Your territory will broadly cover Cairns to Maroochydore, involving a combination of flights and road travel.

You will be responsible for proactively maintaining healthy relationships with existing accounts (both major stores and independent retailers) while seeking out new business opportunities in your nominated territory. You will work closely with other Territory Managers and align your efforts to contribute towards the execution of the Residential Business Plan and wider operational strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and drive profitable business within your nominated territory
  • Build and maintain relationships by providing accurate and timely information around product updates, price movements and technical updates
  • Present punctual and concise sales reports, territory updates, market and competitor information and significant sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with fellow Territory Managers to report any new business, ranging, promotional or training opportunities for the Residential market
  • Achieve targets across, revenue, margin, growth, business growth from both new and existing accounts in your nominated territory
  • Act as the key contact with Major Independent Group stores and stand-alone Independent retailers within your nominated territory for all existing, new and targeted business

About You

You are a positive and personable sales professional who thinks creatively and likes do things a little bit differently to bring new ideas and add value to a business. You are a natural relationship builder who can easily identify potential business leads and drive the process to achieve tangible sales results. You have a passion for flooring, interior design or building and construction and a genuine love of being out on the road to see your clients in person, including the occasional overnight stay where required.

Skills:

  • 3+ years B2B field sales experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Sales (desirable)
  • Experience with CRM and ERP software – ie. Salesforce, MS Navision, and the MS Office Suite
  • Hold an unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Immaculate personal presentation and the ability to remain assertive, confident and self-motivated
