Your new role

We are seeking enthusiastic and suitably experienced candidates to fill the role of Technology Specialist within the ICT Applications Function.

We have 3 Permanent Full-Time positions available for immediate appointment, and a number of Full-Time contract positions available, with the potential for subsequent extension or permanent placement.

Opportunities are available across the Clinical and Corporate Systems portfolios, which support over 200 applications across a range of technologies, which includes but is not limited to, Windows/Unix operating environments, SQL/Oracle/Elastic Search/MongoDB/Sybase Databases, and .NET/React/Java frameworks.

We are looking for candidates with technical application support experience in

  • Monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of application related issues
  • Technical analysis and design to address small to medium-sized customer enhancements on the supported applications
  • Delivery of small to medium-sized solutions in a rapid, continuous delivery environment
  • Development of extracts or reports using SSRS, Power BI or similar tools.

As part of the Health Support Services (HSS) ICT Business Unit, the Technology Specialist is responsible for:

  • Providing technical advice on current and future-potential applications, technologies and tools to customers and stakeholders
  • Assisting with product roadmap management to ensure application services remain current and relevant to the customer.
  • Assisting with continuous application service delivery and disaster recovery planning, including the maintaining and testing of application service redundancy to ensure services remain available to the customer at agreed levels.
  • Adding value to existing services by applying continuous improvement and innovation, at every opportunity.
