This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis.
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 29/08/2025.

Position Profile: We are seeking suitably experienced people for the role of Senior Speech Pathologist within CAHS Child Development Service (CDS). Speech Pathologists within CDS provide range of assessment, early intervention and treatment services to children. We work in partnership with families with CDS sites based across the metropolitan area. In this position you will:

  • Plan, coordinate and direct clinical, supervisory and professional functions of the Speech Pathology service within a designated work unit, ensuring client safety and quality of care through effective multidisciplinary team approach and family centred care.
  • Provide Speech Pathology management at an advanced practice level to assigned caseload.
  • Practice as a senior Speech Pathologist as per the Speech Pathology Australia Code of Ethics, the Speech Pathology Australia Scope of Practice and Child and Adolescent Health Service, Community Health and Child Development Service policies and guidelines.
