Clinical Midwife

$99,431 a year
State Government of WA South Metropolitan Health Service
Perth Full-day Full-time

Description:

The South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth. Our vision is Excellent health care, every time. You can read more about SMHS in our Strategic Plan here.

In late 2020 the WA Government announced that full operation of the Peel Health Campus (PHC) would transfer to South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) on the completion of the current contract with existing private operator Ramsay Health Care (RHC) in August 2024. Peel Health Campus (PHC) is a general hospital located in the City of Mandurah, 75 km south of Perth on the doorstep of the south-west, known for its stunning beaches, internationally significant wetlands, and some of Australia’s most spectacular waterways for boating, fishing and wildlife. It originally opened in 1988 as the 32-bed Mandurah District Hospital, and now operates with 206 licenced beds, bays and treatment areas. Transitioning the hospital to public hands paves the way for the hospital’s redevelopment and service transformation to meet the needs of the Peel-Murray region.

Currently we are seeking Clinical Midwives to join our team at Peel Health Campus.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Midwife provides clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence-based midwifery/nursing care is delivered to patients. You will facilitate and promote patient safety and quality of care.

This is a recruitment pool for casual, permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed term full time and fixed term part time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/10/2025.

Our Values guide our work in every action, and that includes recruitment and employment!
