About the roleThe Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) is responsible for managing the application of bankruptcy and personal property securities laws through the delivery of high-quality registry, trustee, and regulatory services.
The Corporate Services Division is responsible for delivering a range of business and enabling services that support the Australian Financial Security Authority operations through partnering with business divisions that regulate Australia's personal insolvency and personal property securities programs. The division provides professional services and leadership that promotes the efficient and effective operations of the agency whilst ensuring compliance with commonwealth legislation, polices and guidelines and promoting integrity, accountability and transparency.
Purpose of the Position
The Recruitment Advisor is a strong team player with a customer service focus who has the ability to provide end-to-end recruitment and on-boarding related services to applicants and managers for AFSA vacancies. The position requires excellent system administration and organisational skills and prior recruitment experience, preferably within the APS framework is desirable. You will be an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where each day may present a new learning and challenge. You will be responsible for prioritising your own workload, making sound judgements and providing accurate recruitment advice to selection panels, internal teams and external stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to work with limited guidance but will have support to escalate complex issues as they arise.

Key accountabilities
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide timely, effective, and efficient recruitment support and advice enabling services to stakeholders in line with legislative and policy requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders to support best practice service delivery.
- Maintain accurate and timely records using relevant HR information systems, databases, online recruitment systems, and other applications as required to manage recruitment activities.
- Administration of accurate documentation, including approved contracts of employment, extension notices, promotions, and transfers between agencies.
- Contribute to process innovation, change management, and modern ways of working.
- Support, and continuously improve, user experience for all stakeholders.
- Work independently while maintaining regular communication with the Senior Recruitment Advisor and Assistant Director.
- Develop and contribute to administration and service provision guidelines and policy.
- Facilitate and support proactive workforce planning and resourcing functions with business lines.
- Other duties as directed.

- Qualification in human resources, and/or demonstrated skills and experience in recruitment and talent acquisition are highly desirable.
- An understanding of Government recruitment process, legislation, and policy frameworks is desirable.
