ABOUT THE ROLE
Audible is looking for an Executive Producer, Originals, APAC to oversee the development and creation of APAC original content. We are looking for an experienced, editorially proven, executive producer to support a portfolio of original scripted and unscripted projects across the region from ideation to release. The Executive Producer, Originals, APAC, will have oversight of new commissions, working with best-in-class creatives to create dynamic listening experiences for Audible audiences across the region.

This role will report to the Director, Audible Studios APAC and will work with a range of internal and external teams in Australia, India, Japan, Singapore, and at times, teams in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, to identify and create distinctive content for Audible. The role will be based in Australia.

ABOUT YOU
You are on the pulse of the cultural zeitgeist and bring strong instincts for content development that will resonate with today’s consumers. You will have a love for great audio and storytelling, and understand how to shape the creative content process to ensure that it conveys a rich narrative, draws in and engages an audience and drives commercial goals. You are likely to have extensive experience as a Producer or Executive Producer, ideally specializing in audio production, and ideally will have launched and managed one or more high profile series (podcast, radio, television) in scripted and or non-fiction series with multicast, previously. You will have editorial vision, creative flair, extensive production experience, a desire to raise standard at all times and a track record of success and exceptional stakeholder management skills.

You will have the right combination of distinctive creative judgement, high emotional intelligence, and exceptional understanding of both the scripted and unscripted genres. You will set creative ambitions high, pursuing quality and excellence in each title. You are likely to have existing relationships with creators in the entertainment space and have solid experience of identifying I.P. and talent in-line with strategic goals. Your knowledge and expertise enables you to provide sound guidance to creative partners and the content program.

As the Executive Producer, Originals APAC you will...
- Work with the Director, Audible Studios APAC and contribute to the identification and assessment of Original content opportunities against strategic goals.
- Work as an Executive Producer across ‘non-book’ Audible Original formats and genres, supporting all creative aspects involved in the creation of a title including reviewing submissions, providing script editing suggestions, providing recommendations on talent selection, conducting post production audio reviews and other development support as required for both in-house and 3rd party projects
- Provide guidance and recommendations to internal and 3rd party production teams, based on audio/entertainment industry success factors and trends. Support internal and external vendors towards the elevation of our spectrum & belonging initiatives in our original content offering
- Work with internal and external stakeholders in support of localisation efforts
- Support the creative class across the region to develop new I.P. and help build an extensive development pipeline and forward-looking slate of original programming that is distinctive to Audible
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with established agents, producers, writers and production partners. Work with the Director, Audible Studios APAC, in constantly improving the attractiveness of Audible as the content provider for the creative class. Identify up-and-coming creators suitable for Audible
- Collaborate with Brand & Content marketing, providing creative input and support to optimise title launch
- Provide ad-hoc creative support as required

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or relevant professional experience
- Demonstrable experience in scripted/non-scripted content development with a focus on storytelling for the medium
- Demonstrable experience of commissioning, producing/showrunning, and ability to apply this in the audio-entertainment space
- Proven development, writing and script-editing skills, knowing how to approach this with an audio-first lens
- Experience with pre-production, production, post-production of a title, talent and partner management support. Audio experience an advantage
- An extensive network of relationships in terms of writers, agents, producers, directors, etc.- Excellent written and verbal communication at various levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Extensive knowledge across a range of content genres and format
