This is a great opportunity for an experienced Call Centre Operator to demonstrate your excellent customer service skills and administration knowledge. You will be a point of contact for those wishing to donate goods and those wanting to volunteer through our corporate program with Vinnies.

Using your exceptional communication and multitasking skills, you will work within our small Transport and Logistics team, collaborating with our Drivers, Jockeys, Shop and Warehouse Managers, taking both inbound and outbound calls to both internal and external stake holders. You will bring a "hands on" approach and be a proactive operator who thrives on delivering outstanding service.

This role will have a direct impact within your community, as you work behind the scenes in the logistics team. So, if you have positivity in abundance and a true desire to be part of the Vinnies Family, giving people a "hand up" then we would love for you to apply!

More specifically you will have:

  • Experience with customer services with a call centre focus.
  • Strong geographic knowledge of Melbourne CBD and metro area.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills to deal effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

• Contribute to developing a culture of continuous improvement and respond positively to change.
• Be adaptable and able to multitask between inbound/outbound calls and multiple inboxes.
• Knowledge of MS Office suites.
• Assist customers with enquiries and resolve routine customer issues relating to Vinnies Transport services.
• Coach other team members as directed.
• Establish positive working relationships and open communication channels with all stakeholders within Vinnies.
• Assist the Transport Call Centre Team Leader with the continuous development and improvement of procedures and processes to enhance the quality of Customer Call Centre, ultimately delivering the most efficient Transport Service practical to Vinnies.

Overall, St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria has many arms and services. These include soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria, which provides a range of services and programs for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and disadvantage. This includes crisis accommodation, drug and alcohol dependency programs, and housing.
