As an Area Manager, you are responsible for driving sales performance in your geographical area and providing leadership to build an impactful team culture. Managing a number of company owned stores, you empower and develop your teams whilst effectively influencing the performance of these teams and the profitability of your stores.
You are an expert in understanding our products, market area, trends, opportunities, and competitor activity. You will lead by example and demonstrate our core values, with a focus on customer dedication, embracing change and innovation, you will have the ability to think both strategically and operationally, whilst successfully implementing the company strategy and contributing to company growth and profitability!
The day to day

Recruit, coach, mentor and develop Store Managers to build successful teams across the area, in line with our Optus values

Manage key talent to meet the needs of the business today and into the future

Lead the Optus Sales Program by crafting an environment for it to succeed

Provide clear direction and expectations to team members at all times through an effective operating rhythm

Develop the skills and knowledge of your broader team through individual and focused mentor sessions

Cultivate a culture of leadership and development throughout your entire territory

Collaborate with other departments/business units to ensure necessary support for the achievement of business targets

Assist in the career planning of team members and support store managers with succession planning within the store

Extensive Multi-Site leadership experience

People, Financial and change management understanding, to a high proficiency

Proven understanding of the retail environment including challenges and trends

Sound knowledge of Telecommunications industry

Knowledge and understanding of WHS, EEO & Trade Practices

Strong propensity to lead, customer focused and critical thinking ability

Team oriented and strong communicator who is adaptive and responsive

Ability to build strong relationships and has a resilient mentality whilst demonstrating integrity and fairness
