About the Role:Reporting to the Project Manager and working within a supportive team, you will partner closely with staff, sub-contractors and the customer to provide best practice project coordination and management. The role will be mostly site based on projects ranging from bulk earthworks, detailed earthworks, concrete works, underground services, drainage, and pavements. This is a busy and diverse role for an established Project Engineer looking for the next challenge across the Civil Infrastructure industry.
Primary Duties:
- Undertake the full range of a Senior Project Engineer’s responsibilities (consistent with your qualifications, skills and capabilities), including but not limited to:
- Preparing safety and construction documentation.
- Procurement and supplier/subcontractor engagement.
- Preparing, tracking and forecasting against a construction budget.
- Maintaining a rolling program with the supervisor.
- Quality assurance, control & management duties.
- Promote and develop a strong safety culture;
- Assist with Contract Administration.
- Daily cost control and monthly reporting, utilising engineering support services as required.
- Ensure works comply with client specifications, Australian Standards and Halo Civil procedures.
Halo are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our high calibre team, working with senior members of the project team to achieve optimum production and cost outcomes. Drawing on your learnings from a successful engineering career, you will:
- Demonstrate leadership qualities which allow for mentoring of Site Engineers and Graduates to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Provide onsite engineering services and technical support to fearlessly strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:
- Civil Engineering degree (or similar)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a project-based Engineer in Civil infrastructure
- Our ideal candidate would be an experienced Project Engineer looking to make the step into a Senior Project Engineer role.
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do
- Motivation to achieve value-for-money results.
- Previous experience undertaking similar work is preferred.
- Must have Full Australian working rights to be considered.
