Description:
- Supporting all the Financial Reporting activities for the Residential, Independent Living and the Home Care business segments as required
- Assist with month end and year end processes ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial data
- Attend to the preparation and or review of balance sheets reconciliations by identifying issues or discrepancies and liaising with the relevant department to clarify them and implement the applicable adjustments
- Assist with the annual external audit processes and work programs
- Assist with the execution of Internal Audit Projects
- Assist with the renewal of Insurance policies
- Preparation of annual Financial Statements for all the entities in the Group
- Preparation and lodgement of relevant financial reporting Information with the relevant Regulatory Bodies such as the Department of Health
- Development and implementation of internal controls and process improvements
- Provide financial analysis, information and support the business units and finance team as requested
- Produce ad-hoc reports and other analysis and special projects as requested and appropriate
- Assist in the development of junior team members
- Stay abreast with current changes in Accounting Standards
Requirements:
- CPA / CA qualified
- Aged Care industry experience desirable
- Technology One experience desirable
- Statutory reporting experience essential
- 5+ years experience in a financial accounting position
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
