The Company
Our client, an ASX-listed leader in the freight and trucking industry based in Melbourne, is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team on a 3-month temporary assignment. This role will report to the Commercial Manager. Our client has an exciting piece of work to be completed during a large transformation within the company.
They are looking for a Financial Analyst ready to take the next step in their career. This role will offer the right candidate exposure to Commercial Finance at the highest level.
The Role
This role will be reporting to the Commercial Manager and duties will include but not limited to;
- Conducting financial analysis and reporting for the company's financial performance.
- Management Reporting.
- Extensive Cost / Labour analysis, productivity reports.
- Working with large data sets to produce timely reporting.
- Developing financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making.
- Providing in depth commentary on budget variances.
- Collaborating with other departments to support financial planning and analysis needs.
- Partnering with non-finance stakeholders across the organization.
- Streamlining the organizational practices.
- Collaborating and liaising with senior executives and external stakeholders.
- Limited financial accounting responsibilities.
- Ad-hoc financial and commercial analysis.

Your Profile
You will be a CA, CPA or part qualified Financial Analyst / Management Accountant / commercial analyst who is keen to gain new experiences in a growing and complex environment.
You will be an Excel savvy and commercially driven individual with excellent communication skills, keen to find areas in which to add value both within the finance team, and across other operational areas of the business.
Interested candidates need to be available within one weeks notice and keen to start on a full-time temporary basis.
