• $60,000-90,000 + super
• Adelaide, South Australia
• Repair and maintenance of diesel engines

Main Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:

• Maintaining, repairing and servicing fleet of trucks and trailers and other equipment in line with relevant transport legislation and standards.
• Workshop maintenance to include all servicing and maintaining vehicles.
• Using computers, instruments and specialised tools to diagnose and repair faults.
• Measure parts to ascertain the extent of the damage and wear and tear and then repair or replace the parts.
• Analyzing drawings to determine the specifications of the components to be constructed.
• Determines suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings.
• Assemble and fit machined parts.
• Inspecting fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size.
• Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
• Creating a suitable maintenance schedule and performing system maintenance accordingly.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification - Mechanic or Diesel Technician, with Red Seal qualification being highly beneficial.
• Highly skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with minimum 4 years of experience.
• Reliable and has good communication skills.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
• High attention to detail and display a positive & self-motivated attitude.
• Good management skills and has the ability to work with minimal supervision and work in a team environment.
• Qualified for heavy and light vehicles, Agricultural vehicle qualifications would be an advantage.
• Must have current Driver's Licence.
• Must be able to utilise job instructions.
• Must be flexible and able to do overtime.
• Able to learn new technology if needed.
• Able to fit into a family-operated business.
