About the CompanyConsultANZ is looking for an experienced Senior Industrial / Process Engineer to join our client’s team to develop and optimize process engineering solutions in small, medium and large scale projects, both for Australia and abroad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide the entire engineering team, guidance and direction throughout the entire project lifecycle by analyzing functional statements, organizational charts, and project data to ascertain roles and duties.
- Assist in the development cost estimates, budgets and project schedules throughout the project lifecycle, and monitor those continually.
- Evaluating the efficiency of workers and equipment by assessing workforce utilization, facility layout, operational data, production schedules, and associated costs to find the optimal configuration.
- Be standards driven and adhere to those when undertaking process design calculations such as line and valve, equipment sizing.
- Create manufacturing specifications and define the materials, equipment, material flows, capacities, and plant and system layouts.
- Coordinating and overseeing project labor and the supply of materials, machinery, and equipment.
- Assisting in engineering assurance processes like HAZOPs and HAZIDs assessments and constructability reviews.
- Conduct regular operations audits by setting guidelines and protocols for installation, adjustments, quality assurance, and testing.
- Prepare Request for Quotation documents, identifying costs, equipment and scope and technical information and correspond with external stakeholders such as suppliers and sub-contractors on those demands and how to meet them.
- Technically review and evaluate proposals from external stakeholders such as suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Support site engineers throughout the entire project process and supervise sub-contractors on site when needed.
- Prepare and present mass and energy balances, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
- B Eng Chemical required.
- RPEQ experience a must.
- At least 8 years engineering experience ideally within the Oil & Gas and/or Petrochemical sectors.
- Highly proficient in using engineering software such as UniSim, Phast, HYSYS and AFT Fathom.
- Full experience in a project life cycle all the way from concept design through to commissioning and plant operation.
- Proven record in concept development documentation : Failure Investigations using Plant Process Information, Concept Selection Reports and Options Assessment Workshops.

- $115k - $135k base plus super, negotiable based on experience
