Our client is a global travel industry organization specializing in luxury travel journeys across the globe. With an increasing recognition for the role IT will continue to play in their business, and the need for strong leadership to support their exciting plans, this role is seen as pivotal to future success.About the Role
You’ll be responsible for analyzing, planning, organizing and leading the team in support of production applications while managing risk, workload, scope, capacity and scheduling.
You’ll work closely with Project Sponsors and Managers, Business and Technical Partners, SME’s, end users, technical resources, and senior management to deliver and support applications to ensure continuous improvement is achieved.
Your role is the focal point for managing implementation, governance, and support of core applications in the business!
Key Responsibilities
- Managing an application portfolio and be the key applications lead for associated projects.
- Lead an applications team in the delivery of support and innovative improvements to meet business expectations.
- Identifying opportunities for application optimization, redesign, and/or process improvement.
- Providing application administrative support across applications as needed.
- Partnering with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT management to provide a strategic vision for new and supported applications and create system roadmaps and business processes.
About you
You’re a seasoned vet, with at least 5 years of experience as an Application Lead or Manager behind you and when it comes to Vendor Management, you really know what you’re doing with more than two years of experience.
Your career has seen you being hands-on with application implementations, enhancements, and integrations and on top of that, you have proven functional experience with stakeholders. You have an eye for detail and finding areas for improvement are a strong suit for you.
You’re a wordsmith both in person and on paper, your talent for ensuring that technical jargon is easily comprehensible to non-technical individuals is truly outstanding.
