  • $119,390 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 8 of EBA5
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

About our opportunity

We are seeking a passionate WHS professional , experienced in providing safety advice within a large and diverse organisation to join our Wellbeing and Safety team!

You will partner closely with the teams that predominantly contain our office based and community fronting team members - so this could see you working with Rangers, Engineers, Accountants, Librarians, Museum and Gallery team members and more!

We will look to you lead the implementation of the Wellbeing and Safety priorities building safety leadership capability, leading initiatives that reduce risk and promote continuous improvement. You will provide leadership and direction for one Health and Safety Business Partner.

Reporting through to the Wellbeing and Safety Manager, you will be focused on providing quality WHS advice, guidance and services to managers and team members, to drive a safety focused culture.

About you

We are seeking a confident communicator , who builds relationships easily and is ready to build on their significant safety experience ... sounds like you?

You will have an in depth working knowledge of applicable WHS legislation , and be experienced in operationalising the implementation of health and safety strategies in diverse working environments.

With strong skills in communication and the capacity to engage and influence internal stakeholders and external clients to meet desired WHS outcomes at all levels of the organisation, you will quickly embed yourself as a trusted source for advice .

As a people leader you will have the ability to use empathy and discretion when required, and have a customer-centric approach to drive positive change.
