We are seeking a suitably qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist with previous Breast Care Nursing experience to work within the Cancer Services team at the Albany Health Campus as a Clinical Nurse Specialist-McGrath Foundation (metastatic).

This is a Fixed Term vacancy at 45.6 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE) until 30/06/2026, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Po sition Profile: The Clinical Nurse Specialist -McGrath Foundation position is supported by the McGrath Foundation. This is an exciting opportunity for a metastatic breast nurse role to develop the already well-established McGrath breast cancer services within the multidisciplinary cancer services team in the Great Southern. The role of the McGrath Metastatic Breast Care Nurse (MBCN) - is to provide specialist nursing care, information, education and support to patients diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. The McGrath MBCN is a highly skilled and motivated practitioner who will utilise expert skills, knowledge and experience to work as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team according to the complexity of care required and the individual need of the patients in their care. The McGrath MBCN will deliver a coordinated, evidenced-based, seamless, and patient focused approach to care through specialist educational resources for patients, carers, and staff. The patient -centred, holistic nursing care provided by the McGrath MBCN is consistent with the approach underpinned by the McGrath Model of Care.

The town of Albany is central to WACHS Great Southern and is located alongside the historically rich and picturesque Port of Albany. The Regional Health Service offers one main healthcare facility in Albany which is widely supported by a network of smaller Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) sites in Bremer Bay, Denmark, Gnowangerup, Jerramungup, Katanning, Kojonup, Plantagenet, Ravensthorpe, and Tambellup.
