Leading Australian-based electricity and gas retailer is seeking a Business Operations Assistant/EA to the CEO to join their dynamic team

A broad, newly created opportunity with a huge amount of scope, this role requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Business Operations Coordination:
- Support financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to the CEO for decision-making.
- Where required, support the human resources functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and employee relations.
- Review existing processes and systems with the view to improve efficiencies as appropriate.
- Support the IT function with its management of IT resources, including software licenses, hardware inventory, and network infrastructure.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for the CEO as needed as well as attend confidential meetings with lawyers and accountants on their behalf
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
- Some travel interstate and internationally may be required
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance business operations.
- Previous experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Familiarity with finance structures, HR procedures, and IT systems.
- Strong operational and office management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising at both personal and corporate levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in start-ups or personal business ventures.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Proficiency in Mandarin highly regarded
- Ability to travel internationally when required
