Description:
Working closely with the Senior Information Officer and fellow team members, the Information Officer contributes to the provision of support and advice to internal and external clients regarding the collection and validation of vocational education and training (VET) activity data, management of apprentice and trainee contracts and use of associated departmental systems. This role requires a high level of problem solving, analytical, customer service, research, and time management skills.As Information Officer, You Will Specifically
- Provide a high level of support and advice to internal and external clients regarding the collection and validation of VET activity data, management of apprentice and trainee contracts and use of associated departmental systems.
- Maintain knowledge of VET related data management principles and standards to ensure provision of accurate and timely advice to internal and external clients.
- Monitor, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the VET system for various stakeholders, including public and private training providers, industry, state and federal agencies and national research bodies.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data collection systems, processes, and databases to meet departmental and national standards.
