Aboutthe Position
Team Stirlingis seeking an experienced and safety conscious Conservation FieldTechnician for a 12 month contract, to join our Parks andSustainability Business Unit.
In this role you will contribute toproviding attractive, safe and well-maintained parks, public spacesand environment for passive and active recreation that enablesquality urban life while protecting and conserving the naturalenvironment.
AboutYou
Thesuccessful candidate will undertake driver and general labouringduties associated with development and maintenance works in naturalareas conservation.
This role also undertakes some administrativeduties including plant start-up and shut down checks and reportingof plant defects.
In addition,to be considered for this role, you’ll possess the followingskills and / or qualifications :
- Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management, Environmental Science or similar qualification or demonstrated field experience in a similar role.
- Experience in working with native plants and care control of natural areas.
- Considerable Experience in operating mowing equipment, hand tools and minor plant.
