Our dynamic Bucklands Residential Care team located in North Plympton is seeking an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist who is passionate about Healthy Ageing for all older adults no matter their age.
About the role
In this role you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of management, allied health, nursing, care workers, fitness and other health professionals in delivering services that optimise the well-being, mobility, pain management and recovery of older adults living in residential aged care.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Being a pro-active member of a multi-disciplinary care team that achieves outstanding client outcomes.
- Provision of high quality assessment and therapy services
- Contributing to the Early Intervention Working Party and supporting residents on Recovery Pathways to bounce back from declines
- Undertaking accurate and complete record keeping about resident assessment,
care plans and therapy - Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, residents
and family members

About you
We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- A Bachelor or Master degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy including current registration with AHPRA.
- Knowledge of residential aged care practice, including understanding and experience of AN-ACC
- Experience working from a Healthy Ageing approach
- Demonstrated commitment to meeting the needs of both internal and external clients
- Demonstrated initiative and strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to listen and adapt communication to audience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Proficient computer skills including the ability to use the Google Suite and various in-house databases
- A basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as are applicable to the role
- The capacity to apply for a provider number and an understanding of the aged care system
