As the primary advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the General Manager Corporate (GMC) assumes a pivotal role in directing and overseeing the Finance, Corporate and Customer, Human Resources and Safety, Infrastructure and ICT Program Management Office functions.
With primary authority and accountability, the GMC spearheads the strategic and operational direction of the Corporate Hub, ensuring the achievement of organisational key performance indicators and upholding financial accountabilities to shape the future of the City.
City of Darwin is in search of a GMC who embodies dynamism, transformation, and inspiration, committed to fostering innovation and advancement through collaboration with their team and the wider community to achieve set objectives.
This individual will collaborate with various levels of government, local authorities, and industry stakeholders to establish robust financial, corporate, and infrastructure management models, instilling confidence within the local community and positioning Darwin as the premier hub of Northern Australia on the global stage.
To excel in this position, the ideal GMC will possess outstanding people leadership capabilities, a keen commercial acumen, a track record of delivering program outcomes, and extensive experience in risk and asset management.
Additionally, expertise in overseeing IT projects would be highly advantageous as well strong financial management leadership within a similar environment.
