About you:
You are a qualified Pharmacist with knowledge, expertise, and skill in hospital and community-based services. This includes an understanding of all forms of pharmaceutical care according to the principles of evidence-based practice, as well as knowledge of acts, regulations, and standards. You have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with, provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team and to implement the APAC guidelines in a team environment, so as to provide quality services, support research activity and promote a model of best practice for the benefit of patients and staff and you are competent to supervise and manage staff in line with quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
Your opportunity:
Deliver clinical pharmacy services to patients within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
Your role:
* Deliver clinical pharmacy services in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
* As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance senior clinicians.
* Provide input in the development of clinical practices, procedures, and protocols within the work area.
* Participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve patient / client care.
* Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of pharmacy services within the local service area.
* Provide clinical education pertaining to routine tasks for interns, students, and less experienced staff with the support of senior clinical staff.
