Description:

Eden Ritchie is seeking a Principal Business Analyst to work across several projects within the Procurement Transformation Program, with an initial focus on the design and development of a procurement service delivery model / framework and service level agreements. The role will then transition to working within the Digital Enablement streams, with a focus on current state analysis, solution optioning and feasibility assessment, and business case development.

The role will work and collaborate with a dedicated program delivery team, as well as a diverse range of executive and business stakeholders across multiple business units.

As the Principal Business Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Work within a program environment to deliver the assigned products / deliverables within required timeframes, ensuring the successful completion of the program’s objectives.
  • Collect, analyse and interpret complex information to develop current state findings and build future state services with supporting business models and frameworks.
  • Identification, review and collation of information including, existing research and reports, user demographics, legislation, policy, strategy, business models, and industry best practice.
  • Responsible for leading the elicitation and elaboration of business requirements, the understanding and development of current and future state business processes and models, the documentation of user needs, pain points and gaps, and the creation of high-quality analysis and documentation.
  • Provide expert advice and leadership on the development of business cases, feasibility assessments and business requirements to ensure successful and timely delivery of outcomes.
  • Workshop facilitation to drive requirement and documentation development, and to enable feasibility assessment, solution optioning and business case development.
  • Develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships, particularly with executive, senior officers, other support staff and stakeholders.
  • Develop and uplift the skills of project team members through imparting expertise and knowledge of business analysis and business case development.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • High level of proficiency and skills in qualitative analysis and the use of research and engagement activities to collect information and develop creative and innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective use of business analysis tools and service design, including current and future state mapping, service blueprints and personas and the ability to create high quality reports and presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of business models and frameworks, including ability to adopt contemporary established practices, ideas or developments elsewhere and adapt them to meet current needs to provide best value solutions.
  • Understands the complexities and diversity of working in complex environments with an understanding of Department and/or procurement and supply chain processes, including familiarity with S/4HANA, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Health and procurement processes.
  • High level oral and written communication skills and the ability to participate in constructive negotiations to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Well-developed ability to understand how procurement / business processes and improvements contribute to organisational goals and ensure data analysis and recommendations are aligned with the broader business strategy.
  • Conceptual, problem-solving and analytical skills, to identify problems, propose innovative and practical data-driven solutions in a complex and dynamic environment with a focus on documenting analysis processes and findings.
  • Highly motivated to work effectively across functional teams, foster collaboration and build relationships across varied stakeholders by communicating confidently to a range of audiences and undertake effective consultation and negotiation processes.

While not mandatory, a relevant qualification with BPMN2 and/or other business analysis methodologies or tools, would be well regarded.
