We are currently recruiting an Operations Excellence Manager to join our Financial Control team who will be the engine of operational excellence across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and banking transactions. This role will be key in ensuring the integrity and timeliness of the delivery of Finance Operations across transactions for the Foxtel Group.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all AR duties, including investigating and resolving queries to non-payment of invoices
- Debt monitoring, reporting and collection to ensure all debt is collected on time
- Assist AP function to ensure that suppliers are paid on time and accurately
- Provide leadership, advice, and direction to our offshore team
- Review weekly payment runs and ensure they comply with internal processes and procedures
- Prepare weekly AP cash file and work with internal stakeholders to order FX
- Forecast AP payments
- Ad hoc tasks as required
Your experience & capability
- Degree qualified in Accounting, preferably a Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, CIMA etc)
- 5+ years’ similar experience in a large corporate organisation
- Prior experience in PeopleSoft and Landmark, highly desirable
- An aptitude and drive for seeking continuous process improvement and innovation
- Strong self-starter, able to meet deadlines and with exceptional organizational skills
- Proven ability to be versatile and action-oriented
- Understands business drivers to provide genuine business valued output and analysis
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to build trusted relationships across the business
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment under time pressure
