Role Title: Governance, Risk & Compliance Officer
Duration: ASAP - 6 months
Pay: Up to $64 per hour + Super
Location: 2Parramatta, NSW
This is an exciting new opportunity to join a leading NSW Government Agency among their Strategy and Governance division. The Governance & Risk Officer supports the development and implementation of risk management and organisational compliance policies, strategies and governance processes for the cluster.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain the risk management and organisational compliance frameworks including: related policies, procedures, risk registers, risk criteria, guides, and templates
- Promote a culture of effective risk management through conducting risk assessments, risk evaluations and providing advice to management on diverse corporate governance issues
- Maintain, analyse and record governance information and data and prepare management reports, including reports on the performance of risk management and internal controls
- Support the delivery of the ethics and internal audit functions, including maintaining action registers and providing advice on fraud and corruption risks
- Provide secretariat support to the Audit and Risk Committee including preparation of agendas, minutes and the coordination and quality review of papers
Essential Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, industry certifications or equivalent experience in delivery of corporate governance, risk management, compliance management or policy management
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining risk registers, criteria and guides
- NSW Government experience is highly advantageous however not essential
