A prominent real estate firm in Sydney is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join their team!

Calling second movers from Big 4/Mid-tier who have strong experience working in both a commercial and chartered background!
Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in managing financial activities for our real estate business. Reporting to the Financial Manager, this position will involve overseeing various accounting functions and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a background in a Big 4/Mid-Tier firm.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage financial accounting processes for our real estate portfolio, including preparation of financial statements and analysis of financial performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of property-related transactions
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for real estate assets, providing insights into financial trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance reports, liaising with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes, implementing new policies and procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• CPA or CA qualification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting
• Ideal candidate is a second mover from Big 4/Mid-Tier business with commercial experience (not limited to real estate)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with experience in financial analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
