Site Manager for Head Contractor, large industrial warehouse projects

Company Overview: My client is a reputable commercial construction company specializing in industrial and warehouse projects ranging from $15 million to $70 million. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they have established a track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. As they continue to expand their operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Manager to join their dynamic team.
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of industrial and warehouse projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards. The Site Manager will play a critical role in maintaining project schedules, controlling costs, and delivering exceptional results that exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to facilitate effective communication and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Oversee site personnel, including subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers, to ensure productivity, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
  • Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and practices to create a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
  • Manage project budgets and expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on industrial and warehouse projects.
  • Must have local experience within Australia and clear understanding of Australian building rules and regulations
  • Proven track record of successfully managing commercial construction projects ranging from $15 million to $70 million.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and methods, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and project management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under pressure.
