Seeking a Weekend Chef for an aged care facility in the Newcastle area
We are seeking an experienced and friendly part time Chef to work weekends at our client's aged care facility in the Newcastle area.The Role:
Saturday & Sunday
8:30am - 5pm
$30 per hour + super + loading
60 Bed facility
You will work with your team to ensure residents’ dietary needs are met with varied and nutritious food.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and presenting food for our students
- Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
- Maintaining a clean working environment
- Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
- Providing fast, effective service with a positive attitude
- Australian citizen or resident with full work rights
- Experience as a Chef in Aged Care
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (advantageous)
- Strong communication skills
