Why Your Role Matters:
As Senior Research Integrity Officer will join a dedicated team of Senior Case Managers in the University’s Conduct and Integrity Office with a key role in implementing the University’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of research integrity. Your day involves gathering and evaluating facts and information to assess serious complaints; and preparing reports for the Director/Deputy Director on your findings. You will also contribute to the efforts of the Conduct and Integrity Office to promote the responsible conduct of research.

Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with sensitive and confidential matters with tact, sensitivity, and respect
  • Contributing to UNSW’s policies and procedures to support research integrity
  • Identifying specific or broader organisational issues which may warrant action
  • Providing research-led advice and leadership in programs and initiatives to promote ethical decision making at UNSW

Who You Are:
You are a competent complaint handler with an investigations/legal background, or an experienced academic researcher, Research Fellow or Early Career Researcher, who is passionate about contributing to a culture of responsible conduct of research and would like to apply your skills and experience in a new way. You have the following skills and experience:

  • Advanced academic research or case management skills, including a proven ability to work in a high-volume work environment
  • Developed organisational skills to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to exercise initiative, think conceptually, and creatively solve problems.
  • Proven analytical skills with an ability to apply regulatory and professional principles, policy and guidelines.
