About the role
WesTrac is seeking an experienced Field Service Plant Mechanic to join the team in Grafton and Coffs harbour district!
A Field Service role with WesTrac will see you utilising your diagnostic skills to troubleshoot, repair and service a range of Caterpillar equipment for OEM customers. With a high level of autonomy, our technicians work to provide a service like no other!
Proximity to site will be taken into consideration throughout the application process.
Key Responsibilities
  • Performing repairs, maintenance and inspections on a range of customer equipment
  • Diagnosing and reporting for preventative maintenance
  • Autonomously providing solutions, service and satisfaction to our customer
  • Liaising and building a strong customer base and providing timely product support
  • Documenting work and completing any required documentation
  • Scheduling jobs and ordering parts as necessary

The important stuff... roster & remuneration
  • Monday - Friday, dayshift only
  • 10 Hour Shifts + 30 minute unpaid meal break
  • Minimum hourly rates from $50.01
  • Minimum overtime rates from $75.02*

So, what are we looking for?
  • Cert III Mobile Plant qualification
  • Minimum 2 years post trade experience
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills, with a commitment to meeting customer requirements
