The opportunity
Sole Motive is on the hunt for an experienced Store Manager with a passion for people, customer service and delivering an exceptional experience.
About you
- Passionate about contributing and growing the running culture in Melbourne, participating in weekly running and fitness activities in store and within the community
- A brand advocate for the Sole Motive brand and our values, inspiring more people to run and enjoy their fitness
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service, and build lasting customer relationships
- Strong experience in retail management with demonstrated ability to build, coach, lead and motivate effective teams
- Understanding of retail concepts (e.g. inventory control, refills, pricing, markdowns etc.)
- Willingness to learn as you will become a knowledge expert in the range we stock
- Flexible with the ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and changes in strategy.

About The Role
As a leader on the shop floor across our two stores, you are responsible for the management and activities of all aspects of store operations. You have a lot of energy, ideas and enthusiasm for all things running, health and fitness, gear and tech. You are a leader, who loves to lead, influence, and inspire others; motivates, empowers, develops, and directs people as they work.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the store inline with the company's short- and long-term goals
- Co-create the store vision aligning with Sole Motive strategy and values
- Develop and implement comprehensive quarterly and annual planning for the store, including strategy, budget, team development and recruitment
- Achieve budgeted revenue goals and monitoring of expenses and inventory
- Train and mentor staff to deliver exceptional customer standards and hit sales targets
- Manage retail staff including hiring, planning and preparing rosters
- Responsible for overall store presentation including visual merchandising
- Provide A+ service to our customers and community
- Build strong relationships with supplier sales reps
- Work with suppliers to ensure optimal stock levels taking into account customer preferences and sales data
Your hours:
The role is full time* (37.5 hours) and must be available for 1 weekend day with 75% of time spent on the shop floor. *Open to applications for PT minimum 30 hours per week.
