  • $72,009 + Super + Penalty rates where applicable

Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre is unique and involves the successful daily management of facilities to meet the competition and training needs of athletes and the recreational and fitness needs of the community, thereby contributing to the advancement of a healthy, social and cultural lifestyle for the people of NSW.

Our busy and dedicated Aquatic Centre Venues team are currently looking to offer an outstanding applicant the opportunity to continue to grow their career in the Sports and Recreation Industry. The Pool Operations Supervisor (Duty Manager) is responsible for supervising and managing a team of young and enthusiastic lifeguards and overseeing the safe use of some amazing and world class facilities.

The successful applicant will have a keen grasp of the following:

  • Implementing systems and procedures and allocating resources to ensure venue requirements are maintained to an exceptional standard;
  • Supervising the safe use of the venue and proactively looking to respond to potential risks;
  • Liaise with our diverse and amazing stakeholders to ensure their booking needs and schedules are met;
  • Resolve any stakeholder issues and look for new ways to improve the visitor experience;
  • Keep an eye on venue assets, safety, maintenance and cleaning and work positively with colleagues to get the best results for visitors;
  • Providing leadership to staff and public when any emergency situation occurs;
  • Provide team leadership and supervision of teams ensuring staff are given the best learning environment to perform, develop and grow.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate including Advanced Resuscitation
  • Pool Lifeguard Qualifications recognised in NSW
  • Pool Operations Certificate or equivalent
  • A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012 .
