The role
In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in upholding the defined service quality standards and health and safety policies, aligning with Queensland Health's core values. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the preparation of comprehensive analysis and reports, utilizing data sourced from clinical and financial information systems. These insights will not only facilitate benchmarking but also serve as foundational elements in crafting strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery across Queensland.

Furthermore, you will take charge of managing the performance reporting system, overseeing the creation of monthly performance dashboards, and spearheading the development of innovative data analytic dashboards. Your expertise will extend to conducting system analysis and design, both for new systems and enhancements to existing ones, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, your role will entail fostering robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating closely in the development, implementation, and review of performance reporting practices. As a leader, you will navigate project management intricacies, including task prioritization, risk mitigation, and timely project delivery, while nurturing the professional growth and performance of team members.

The successful person
To be successful in this role, you will have proven high-level ability to provide advice at a strategic senior level within an activity-based funding environment and to prepare and present complex reports of a substantial nature using business intelligence systems e.g., QlikView, PowerBI, advanced Microsoft Excel. You will also have demonstrated ability to rapidly prepare comprehensive briefs (e.g., Estimates and Executive Leadership committees), corporate correspondence and present complex information related to agreed measures of performance.

In addition to this, you will have proven high-level knowledge and understanding of performance reporting and data analytics preferably within a health-related environment, and proven ability to conduct system analysis and design and provide solutions within tight deadlines and commitments.
