Description:
We have up to 10 positions available for farm hands on oyster farms in and around North Hobart and surrounding regions of Tasmania.Work is due to start July 2024 and is expected to go for up to 4 years.
The position is for a Farm Hand on an Oyster Farm and will include but not limited to tasks such as grading, harvesting oysters, making of baskets and general maintenance.
This is a fulltime role and you will be paid as a fulltime employee under the Aquaculture Award, MA000114 Level 1 at hourly rate of $22.61 per hour.
This position requires the availability for rosters over 7 days. Minimum of 38 hours a week, 6.30am-3.30pm though at times this may change due to the seasonal needs of the business.
- Random drug & alcohol testing may be conducted

- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work continuously at a high level of concentration
- Must be physically fit, agile & able to stand for long periods
- Able to cope with inclement weather
