Part Time Acute Community Intervention Service (ACIS) Mental Health Clinician

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is situated in a growth corridor where continuous development, service expansion and innovative new programs are on the rise. Outer Community team is one of the MH&W adult mental health programs and responsible for community mental health care of consumers living in the city of Melton and some suburbs of Brimbank.
The role requires clinicians to provide recovery orientated community mental health services. ACIS clinicians work as a key clinician for an allocated number of consumers and will be aligned to the specialist ACIS function.
We expect all our team members to lead with kindness, role modelling open communication and a desire to support and enhance clinical care across the team.
Key Requirements
- Experience in assessment/ treatment of people with mental illness / psychiatric disability
- Experience working in an acute function (crisis assessment team)
- High level awareness of legislation governing mental health practice especially the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022
- Ability to clearly document clinical decisions in a number of online platforms.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating care by communicating and advocating for the consumer and their family/carers with programs and external service providers.
- A strong commitment to consumer-focused service delivery
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
